Our Mission

The sole mission of our organization is to provide transportation to medical or dental appointments at no cost, to residents of the Town of DeWitt who have no other means of transportation.

Volunteers, using their own vehicles, drive clients to and from medical/dental appointments throughout the greater Syracuse area. This service is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm.

How does it work?

Interested residents of the Town of DeWitt are asked to complete a registration form and release of liability. When they need transportation to a medical appointment, they call the codFISH number. A volunteer dispatcher gets the pertinent information, locates a volunteer driver and the driver confirms the appointment.

Volunteer drivers complete an application, provide a reference and current license and insurance information. They are interviewed by the co-chairs. They receive an information packet regarding their responsibities and how the organization operates.
